Schools and educational groups applying to Kinchant OEC for a booking should submit an application form to  principal@kinchantoec.eq.edu.au. Our team will try to get your school booked in for the dates requested however if this isn't possible we will contact you to try and arrange alternative camp dates.

Once your school and dates have been confirmed, we will send out a booking acceptance form to be signed by your school principal and returned to Kinchant OEC.

All booking forms are formatted to be fillable forms,  meaning you should be able to input information directly into your form on your computer before emailing it to Kinchant OEC.

Bookings for 2025 are now open! To book, simply download a form below and forward it to the email addresses above. Acceptance offers will be forwarded at the commencement of Term 2. Applications received after Term 1 will be considered on an availability basis.

Please note that due to resourcing constraints Kinchant OEC's student capacity will be capped at 80 students per program. Split camp options are available for schools with larger cohorts.

Orientation and Training Days

Orientation and training days are important professional development opportunities to ensure your school camp experience runs as smoothly and effectively as possible. Camp coordinators who attend orientation and training days will be well prepared to coordinate their camp and hopefully leave with great new ideas to get the most out of your Kinchant OEC experience.

Orientation Days are held on Fridays and will assist coordinators by providing them with information regarding Kinchant OEC curriculum, Kinchant OEC procedures, a site tour and program planning to get the most out of your students whilst on camp. Coordinators will also be given time on orientation day to sit down with a Kinchant OEC staff member and produce a camp program. Camp Co-ordinators are required to be up to date with their Kinchant OEC induction. This training is required every 2 years with camp attendance every year.

Training Days are held on a Saturday morning and even though you and your staff will give up a small portion of your weekend, it will help when it comes to your camp by ensuring that the same teachers aren’t stuck on the same activities all week. This will also mean better outcomes from your students as we will be able to offer a wider range of activities.

Training provided includes Low Ropes, Team challenges, Bouldering, and Adventure games. Some Catapult Training may be given if requested on the day.
